The Manager of Credit Risk’s primary responsibility is to mitigate risk to Proforma by managing Proforma’s business services, compliance, collections departments, and the credit insurance program. The Manager of Credit Risk determines the creditworthiness and risk of prospective independent business owners (member offices) and current independent business owners within the Proforma network. This individual monitors AR, AP, credit insurance, and compliance to reduce credit risk exposure. This role requires the investigation of incidents that may result in loss and the compilation of such findings. Additionally, this individual monitors credit management of the member affiliate’s portfolio with credit limits and risk ranking and must utilize credit judgment to analyze and determine an appropriate action plan.
Lead and develop credit risk management capabilities and proactively manage credit risk portfolios daily.
Lead risk financial forecasting efforts, including designing and maintaining complex credit loss and financial risk forecasting models, conducting cost of credit analyses, and monitoring trends to identify key areas of risk-opportunity.
Develop, test, optimize and implement credit policies.
Identify and analyze key data points to be integrated into workflow design and development for Proforma’s proprietary technology system.
Design screen concepts, workflow processes, and mapping requirements for the technology system.
Understand how data-driven processes can improve efficiencies and present solutions to senior management and the technology team.
Collaborate with the development team to build system requirements for all areas of Credit Risk.
Liaise with team members across Technology, Credit Risk management, Finance, and Front Office to identify and solve system issues.
Perform gap analysis on the technology system to determine process issues and development needs.
Engage in credit due diligence on transactions and/or new affiliates to ensure correct credit terms are in place.
Manage risk levels for the entire credit spectrum across all member offices consistent within the risk management framework.
Perform financial analysis and credit modeling; prepare credit proposals and present results to Executive Team as part of the overall credit approval process.
Ensure completion of all required documentation for approved transactions.
Track and report on initiatives, performance results, emerging trends, and opportunities to CEO and Executive Team.
Oversee the net proceeds process and reporting (review high margin, high dollar amount, non-compliant member affiliates, and release on banking platforms).
Oversee monthly rebate processing; review all new member office fee and rebate setup.
Manage the Director of Compliance, AR Supervisor, & Business Services Manager (questions & issues).
Handle disciplinary actions and termination of employees per company policy.
Handle other responsibilities as assigned by the CEO and/or President.
Advanced analytical, technical, and quantitative skills with hand-on experience in building risk metrics from the ground up
