SunPower is seeking for Financial Services Risk Manager who will play a key role in managing financial performance and implementing key finance strategies to achieve committed business performance. The position will be for responsible for minimizing financial losses, increasing cash collection and reducing cash collection cycle time. We are looking to bring on dedicated, results-driven individual who can balance assertiveness and empathy while negotiating. This position will manage Consumer Collection, Loss Mitigation and Legal Oversight and will be Process Owner for these functions. This role will have an opportunity to participate in and design and drive financial landscape, speed, quality and cost efficiency thru budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Generate Investor confidence on Portfolio and Cash Flow performance and face of overall Collection and Loss Mitigation Strategy
Design, develop, and deploy effective and efficient Portfolio Risk Management strategies, processes and work flows to increase Collection Performance
Work with Compliance Department to ensure that credit and collection policies, procedures, practices, and documentation meet federal and state regulations
Authorize legal proceedings. Review legal documents for accuracy and completeness such as default notices, surrender notices, bankruptcy procedures, or foreclosure notices
Set targets and threshold for delinquency, roll rates, cure rates and collection efforts to manage portfolio
Consistently analyze, measure and track performance with a focus on compliant best practices and efficiency
Facilitate communication and meetings related to customer complaints concerning billing or service rendered
Handle escalated communication, when necessary, in a professional manner
Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures
Provide oversight and direction of the Collections department
Collaborate with other departments to define/enhance processes impacting Customer interactions
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed
