Responsible for adherence to company credit & collection policies, practices and procedures across assigned region(s).
Review regularly the status of assigned portfolio to ensure your assigned portfolio is meeting the company/division goals for DSO, % Current, Over 90/60 days and other goal measurements as assigned.
Initiate timely and consistent collection efforts on past due accounts.
Follow up as necessary with telephone calls and or written communications, logging collection activities into the system.
Confer with Credit Manager or Sales leadership on crucial collection issues or special handling of accounts.
Act as intermediary between sales and the customer to help resolve disputes, resulting from but not limited to, pricing, billing errors, credit memos, providing copies of source documents (i.e. invoices and POD’S) as needed.
Prepare weekly and or monthly reporting to Credit Manager of assigned accounts.
Performs other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Credit Manager.
Adhere to company credit policies and SOX guidelines
Review & research customer account application for completeness & accuracy.
Monitor customer order activities, accounts receivable and payment history on a daily basis to identify risk and ensure adherence to credit terms.
Escalate key issues to Credit Manager, Sales and Leadership of potential credit risks in portfolio to determine next plan of action.
Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with customers and sales.
Maintains confidentiality and uses utmost discretion with matters including but not limited to personal and or financial information in the duties of the position.
Conducts weekly aging reviews with sales.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership skills including the ability to prioritize, communicate and problem solve.
Ability to solve problems under pressure and provide creative solutions when necessary
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be creative in order to maximize sales and minimize risk.
Goal oriented, motivated self-starter, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Be able to work within tight time demands, work independently or in a team environment.
Proficiency with MS Office - Word, Excel and skill set to perform research on Internet
