Responsible for obtaining and analyzing detailed financial and business information for credit risk recommendations. Provides analysis of financial statements and financial ratios. Responsible to review and understand commercial credit profiles and make credit decisions within the established delegation of authority.
The Credit Analyst II will be working directly with the Sales Team and their clients to ensure each deal is promptly and accurately evaluated for credit risk. Credit Analyst II has a leading role in team projects and ad-hoc research and analysis.
Excellent organizational skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be detailed oriented.
Possess advanced mathematical and analytical skills; calculate and understand liquidity, efficiency and leverage ratios.
Strong quantitative and problem solving skills.
Strong understanding of the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flows used in customer financial analysis to determine credit risk and credit lines.
Ability to understand and interpret Financial Statements and Notes to Financial Statements.
Ability to differentiate risk levels based on industry and SIC classification.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance.
MBA is preferred but not required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in credit environment.
Prior experience reviewing business and consumer credit reports such as D&B, Experian/Equifax. Ability to read and interpret Financial Statements and Notes to Financial Statements.
