The Credit Manager is responsible for the overall management of the credit department, which includes developing and improving operational goals of the department, and staffing, training and development of staff. This position is also responsible for conducting credit investigation and collecting on delinquent accounts.
We are looking for full-time or contract employees.
Provide comprehensive customer service regarding credit and collections.
Run credit reports and analyze available credit information to determine and monitor customer creditworthiness.
Monitor credit holds and document activity which includes a release of hold orders as deemed appropriate.
Negotiate payment plans for delinquent accounts.
Identify aged receivables for legal action and or bad debt write off. If turned over to collection monitor progress.
Obtain personal guarantees, promissory notes and joint checks and file intent to liens as appropriate. Keep in compliance with various state requirements.
Assist branch personnel with customer/order/collection issues.
Supervise and process customer account reconciliation and dispute resolution.
Supervise customer account set up and maintenance.
Prepare documentation for referral of accounts to outside services and monitor after placement.
Perform collections and document activity.
Review A/R aging to identify necessary adjustments and enter adjustments as necessary.
Maintain credit hold codes, payment terms file, and A/R dispute code file.
Maintain knowledge of current/new tools to assist in credit function.
Respond to phone and fax credit reference requests.
Chargeback and collection of NSF checks.
Assign appropriate customer credit line and review/reevaluate as necessary.
Gather information and initiate intents to lien which requires knowledge of state lien laws as the laws vary widely by state.
Process and notarize lien releases.
Train staff on company policies and procedures.
Maintain knowledge of current/upcoming tools available to best perform the job.

Formal training and certification in credit management such as NACM is highly desirable.
Experience in accounting.
Travel required - 25%.
